Nitin Pangarkar is a researcher and a teacher in the areas of strategic management and international business. His publications include dozens of research papers in journals (academic as well as managerial) and presentations in international conferences, three books (one in third edition and another in second edition; both have been translated into Mandarin), numerous business cases and articles in business newspapers in India, Singapore, and Malaysia, among others.

His work has been cited or quoted in numerous popular media including Straits Times (Singapore), Business Times (Singapore), The Edge (Malaysia), International Herald Tribune (USA), Forbes (USA), Asian Wall Street Journal (USA), Economic Times and Hindu (India). He have been featured as an expert commentator on several TV channels, most recently on BBC, Channel News Asia and CNBC

Ishtiaq P. Mahmood

Pasha Mahmood is a Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School where he studies and works with multinational firms and local enterprises on their emerging market strategies. He is a member of the World Economic Forum’s international panel of experts, acting as the co-curator for the ASEAN Transformation Map. Pasha obtained his B.A. in Economics from Oberlin College and his Ph.D. from Harvard University. Prior to joining academia, he had worked as a management consultant for Gemini in Chicago. From 2012 to 2015, Pasha was a Professor of Strategy and Innovation at the IMD Business School in Switzerland. He has also held several Visiting Professor appointments at universities such as Waseda and Hitotsubashi in Japan, and St. Gallen in Switzerland.Pasha’s work looks at the interface between innovation and strategy in the context of emerging markets. He won the Haynes Prize by the Academy of International Business (AIB). In 2014, Pasha also won the Aspen Award by the Aspen Institute for promoting sustainable business models in his research and teaching.

Marleen Dieleman is an expert on strategy and governance in Asian family business groups. She published widely on this and her work is regularly quoted in international media. She won various teaching awards and is a regular speaker. She also worked with various Asian family firms as a consultant and board member.

Marleen’s research focuses on corporate strategy, in particular of Asian family business groups. She has published various academic articles, books and cases on this topic. She is interested in how family business groups are governed, how they operate in emerging market environments characterised by weak institutions, and how they diversify, innovate, professionalize and internationalize over time.
